The Design Challenge -

The primary challenge involved identifying which functions and information were most relevant to communicate to the user, at what specific moments, and to what level of detail. Additionally, the project required creating a unified UI/UX experience to bridge six diverse product categories—ranging from printers and mobile devices to notebooks, monitors, home appliances, and cameras.

The Design Solution -

As part of a UX/UI exploration to unite six distinct product groups through shared emotional interactions, the design reimagined how device status and functions are communicated. Designed to complement the Lux AiO's touch-sensitive control area and intuitive feedback, the Lux Single Function Printer (SFP) clearly conveys critical information both up close and from a distance—including print counts, paper type, and cartridge status—featuring an integral extendable paper catch.
