The Design Challenge -

Leverage Gibson's rich musical heritage to create a versatile home audio system that prominently highlights an integrated subwoofer across both wall-mounted and floor-standing configurations.

The Design Solution -

Developed for Gibson’s Innovation Lab, we created a flexible, modular speaker system featuring a 40-inch wall-mounted "Sound Bar" and a floor-standing "Sound Island." Utilizing a shared-parts system approach, the design integrates rotatable speaker chambers, a central subwoofer, a signature blue LED ring for visual directionality, and an internal Wi-Fi antenna. To offer extensive personalization, the system can be customized with a variety of premium finishes, including fabric, chrome, aluminum, and wire mesh.
