Conceals two front-accessible USB ports

Samsung Electronics - Series 9 Concept Render B-Type

Design Overview

An industrial design concept for Samsung that reimagines desktop monitor architecture for early touch-screen computing (Windows 7). The design replaces traditional hinge mechanisms with continuous arc-based motion to bring touch interactions naturally within arm's reach.

Key Highlights

·       Touch-Optimized Ergonomics: Directly addresses the physical limitations of traditional desktop displays when interacting with touch interfaces. The articulation moves the screen lower, tilts it backward, and shifts it closer to the user to reduce arm strain during forward or downward touch input.

·       Arched Rail Articulation: Replaces standard mechanical hinges with an arched base track. The arc geometry visually signals movement to the user while enabling a smooth, continuous sliding motion.

·       Floating Aesthetic: The iconic arched stand provides structural stability while giving the display a weightless, floating appearance above the workspace.

·       Integrated I/O & Cable Management: Conceals two front-accessible USB ports inside the stand while placing primary cable connectors low in the base to keep routing discreet.
