The Design Challenge -

Entry-level printers face declining sales as users print less or shift to All-in-One devices. For home and small office environments, the primary challenges involve overcoming bulky desk footprints, improving paper handling and setup, and establishing a business model that incentivizes repeat Samsung-branded toner replacements.

The Design Solution -

VERSA addresses these issues through a desk-clamp printer concept that attaches to the table edge via a tool-less tightening bracket to minimize footprint, while remaining usable on flat surfaces. Its open top frame holds interchangeable accessory trays—bundled directly with toner purchases as a new revenue model—and features a rear-sliding paper output area for easy toner cartridge access.
