Akura Thrombectomy Device
The AKURA Medical project is a story about turning a complex thrombectomy procedure into a clear, maneuverable, and clinically workable system.
The design challenge was not simply to create a cart—it was to organize a dense ecosystem of pumps, sensors, valves, displays, fluid connections, disposable components, storage, and cable management around the needs of a procedure room. The result is a floor-standing system designed to support peripheral thrombectomy and blood-return functionality while remaining compact, stable, serviceable, and easy to move between clinical spaces.
